Inspiration |
|
In 1969,
Martin Gardner first presented Typitoons –
simple pictures created with a typewriter. Several
characters can be placed in a single space with a
typewriter and most past Typitoons used this method.
Since typewriters have been replaced with keyboards
and touchpads, keyboard characters can no longer
share a single space. As a result, our modern
Typitoons are created as a single continuous line of
characters, typed with a standard QWERTY keyboard.
At first glance, a single string of characters might
seem restricting, more of a disadvantage when
creating Typitoons and their respective
associations. But once in the process, the traits
between the characters are revealed, challenging the
creator to develop intriguing associations. Once
these intriguing associations have been made, the
Typitoons become little masterpieces, like emoticons
do. |

book or send them directly to us. We’ll gather the

Typitoon by selecting the last letter of the
Typitoon from the options. Only the correct answer
leads to the solution page. Use the hint option to
